She jerked away like the touch burned her, colliding with the door without opening it.

"Don't touch me! Please- Don't touch me!"

The oldest litany in her book, it felt like. It had taken the focus, though. She wasn't afraid of what was on the other side of the door and she wasn't afraid of someone else's ghosts. The oldest fear she had was right there, his fingers on the bare skin of her arm. Even with nothing happening, the panic swept everything else away.
